The Qualtrics software provides users with a powerful and time-saving customization feature called "Text Piping." With Text Piping, a user may insert text from other sources into a survey question, including the survey taker's answer to a previous question or information included in a mailing list. In addition to the survey question, text can be piped into invitation emails, reminder emails, and thank-you emails.
The Qualtrics system provides the friendliest and most sophisticated skipping and branching functionality available.
- Skipping makes it possible for a respondent to be skipped over a question or group of questions based on the answer to a previous question.
- Branching is a more complex function that allows different sets of questions to be shown based on the respondent's answer to a previous question or on information in the mailing list.
Advanced functions in Qualtrics include:
- Triggers: Set triggers to send an email alert when certain response choices are selected in the survey.
- Advanced Randomization: Randomize question choices, questions within a block, or questions blocks
- Quotas: Set a limit on the number of allowable complete surveys. Quotas can limit survey completes in general or surveys completed by a certain respondents with a certain profile.
