Survey data can vary according to the method used to distribute the survey. Qualtrics gives companies a variety of distributions options, allowing them flexibility in targeting different groups and collecting different types of data:

• Panel Distribution (Email Lists): The tracking capabilities of the Qualtrics Mailer allow a company to email a survey to members of a panel, send reminder emails to panel members who haven't completed the survey, and save survey responses for further panel specialization.


• Samples: A sample randomly chooses a portion of the panel for a mailing.


• Snowball emails: The Qualtrics Mailer sends an email with a survey link to a panel, with an invitation to forward the survey to others. The Mailer will keep track of which panel members forwarded the survey to respondents not in the panel.


• Website distribution: Surveys may be distributed through a website as either a pop-up window or as an embedded part of the page.
