Scoring
From QualtricsWiki
Also known as "Grading"...
Where: Click the Advanced Options dropdown and select Scoring.
The Scoring feature allows you to place a point value for different answer choices of Multiple Choice, Matrix Likert, and Text Entry question types. It makes it possible to provide instant feedback to questions either immediately after each question or at the end of the survey. These options are available at the top of the Scoring page. The two options can be used in conjunction.
- Show End of Survey Summary - Summary only displayed when the survey is completed.
- Show Summary After Every Question - Individual question summary shown after each question.
Assigning a point value:
- Multiple Choice and Matrix questions
- To place a point value on an answer choice, click on the "0" next to the answer choice and type the value you would like associated with the choice.
- Text Entry questions
- You can provide multiple answer choices if the question merits it.
- For example: In which city are the UN headquarters located? New York City, NYC, N.Y.C., etc. can all be recognized as correct responses with equal point values.
- You can provide multiple answer choices if the question merits it.
If a question cannot be used in the Grading tool (because it is not one of the supported question types), then "This question type is not currently supported" will be displayed.
Results:
To display the point value and percent of correct responses, Embedded Data fields must be used.
- Grade - Shows the total number of points the respondent received.
- GradePercent - Shows the percentage of correct points they received out of the total points.
Note: The field names are case sensitive and must be entered into the Survey Flow exactly as shown above.
