The Site Intercept is a powerful that provides control over how and when an item is displayed. It is also easier on your IT because they don't have to make changes to the webpage every time you need to make a change to your survey or poll. One script is provided and when in place, it is smart enough to adjust according to the changes you make within the Qualtrics interface.

There are varying types of logic that can be used alone or in conjunction with each other to control when the item should be displayed...

  • Current URL
  • Site History
  • Time Spent Visiting Site
  • Date
  • Day
  • Time
  • Status
  • Quota
  • Value of Cookie
  • Site Intercept Action Count

There are varying items that can be display to the survey taker and varying ways the survey can be distributed to the survey taker.

  • Link - Provides a single URL that can be used to reference a survey, poll, public report, or redirect to a user defined URL.
  • Embedded Content - Will embed a survey, a public report, or a specified site (user defined URL).
  • Pop Under - A pop under window will display upon a visitor's click on the site. Can link to survey, poll, public report, or user defined URL.
  • Embedded PopUp - An embedded pop up window will display upon a visitor's click on the site. Can link to survey, poll, public report, or user defined URL.
  • Poll - Will display a selected poll created in the Polls section of Qualtrics.
  • HTTP Redirect - Will redirect to a URL you specify.
  • User Defined HTML - By clicking the "More..." button, you get the Rich Text Editor window and can enter your own HTML via the Source view to affect the view of a site, or display other custom information, etc.

The Site Intercept is broken up into Action Sets. Each Action Set has its own logic that determines whether it is displayed, but an Action Set can also be set up as an alternate display item if the logic is not met for a previous Action Set (Else If).
