At Qualtrics, we’re all about experiences and we want our employees to have an amazing experience both in and out of work – that’s why we launched our $1,500 experience bonus, to help employees follow their dreams. Two of our team in Dublin took the opportunity to take a once in a lifetime trip to the FIFA World Cp in Russia. Check out their stories…

Jean-Baptiste P., Account Executive EMEA

Qualtrics‘ Experience Bonus allowed me to achieve one of my childhood dreams: following Les Bleus during the #WorldCup2018 in Russia.

Ever since I was a kid, I wanted to go to the world’s main sports events. As a huge soccer fan and a lifelong player of the game, the World Cup was like my Grail – I’d already experienced the European Championships at home in France in 2016 and I loved the exchanges I had with fans coming from all across Europe – actually, my experience with Irish fans in France is one of the main reasons I chose to move to Dublin!

From Kazan to Moscow with a short stop in Yekaterinburg, what an experience it’s been: losing my voice cheering, meeting incredible fans from all around the world and even ending up on international TV!

One moment that stood out in my mind is my encounter with Argentinian and Brazilian fans in the streets in Moscow, singing altogether, even teasing each other a bit, but all in all, sharing our love for the game and our joy of the experience to be there.

Ahmed S., Account Director for Middle East, Africa, and France

My two biggest passions in life are sports and travel. So the World Cup is basically the greatest event I’ve been looking forward to attending in my whole life.

Besides being the first time I attend one, this year was even more special as Morocco, my country, is participating for the first time since 1998.

I started planning for the trip as soon as we had the announcement that Qualtrics will be granting us an experience bonus that will cover most of my expenses for this amazing journey.

Qualtrics advised every employee to use this bonus for a unique and special experience to remember, so I couldn’t think of anything more special than a World Cup.

It was indeed one of the best things I’ve experienced in my life. The atmosphere in Russia was amazing, with fans coming from all over the world to celebrate their teams.

I was able to tour cities like St-Petersburg and Moscow during the day. I made sure to see all the famous sights and check out their restaurants to have an idea about their local food and culture. I usually spent my afternoon in the enormous Fan Fests to watch the daily games (Big screens areas with up to 80.000 people capacity), or in the impressive stadiums.

My 40 minute walk to the Moscow stadium was one of my best memories of this experience. Singing and cheering alongside the Moroccan and Portuguese fans, with other countries’ fans encouraging us, made me realise why I love sports and the International language of Football. It was awesome.

Want to be part of the experience at Qualtrics?
