Why Qualtrics – Noctis Li – Senior Product Specialist, Technical Account Manager – Sydney
What is your ‘why’?
I moved from my previous position as a Quality Assurance Officer to Product Specialist. My previous job was a very stable position however it was very repetitive work every day, which is not challenging enough to bring me enough motivation to fully engage with my work. The reason I moved into a role as a Product Specialist is that I am constantly being challenged in my daily job, trying to resolve all different kinds of issues for our clients, and in the meantime I can enjoy a dynamic and fast-growing workspace. Qualtrics provides the most ideal work culture and requires me to be problem-solving and driven in my work, which perfectly aligns with my passion and long term career goal.
What is your favorite part of your role?
My favourite part of the role is to be empowered to take any initiatives to redefine the work process. I was assigned to create our Enterprise Program Support Team in our APJ office. Rather than simply following the instructions, I can take full ownership to create the new workflow, coordinating with different offices, actually implementing the process by myself taking the Enterprise Program Support role, and continue to improve the process. I am really proud of what I am doing and feel motivated to get to the office every day.
Any tips for someone who is considering a role at Qualtrics?
Be adaptable and ready to take on new challenges. Our product evolves on a weekly basis, so it is very important to be prepared to have the correct mindset to keep up with the rapid change, which is exciting as you are in the centre of this cutting edge industry where we are driving changes in all kinds of business practices.
And be ready to have fun! We have great team events so you will never get bored.
What surprised you most about working at Qualtrics?
The thing that really surprises me is how fast our company is growing. I was only in the company for 16 months and I have already been here longer than 48% of the employees, 67% of our department. Also our role evolves quickly and there will be constant improvement in our workflow, and the function of a team will be adjusted and redefined quickly upon the business need.
