How to pass in the value of my embedded data (not piped text) into my url request in web services

I would like to pass in my embedded data value to a url request in web services, however I can only pass in the pipe text rather than my actual values. Is there a way for me to pass in the actual value of embedded data rather than the piped text? Thanks in advance!

(The get request prints the query parameter, and as shown above my query parameter that was passed in only included the piped text and not the actual value.)

Update: this has been resolved:) It works as intended in the actual survey, but just doesn't work in the web services call.
