Has anyone found a way to display false scores to people taking a survey?

I am conducting research that requires participants to be told they scored a certain way on a test, regardless of their actual score. Does anyone know a way to do this in Qualtrics that appears believable?

There are two ways:

  1. You save multiple wrong scores as embedded data in advance and display them randomly.

  2. You can use this web service: https://www.qualtrics.com/support/survey-platform/survey-module/survey-flow/advanced-elements/web-service/#WebServiceRandomNumbGen to generate a random number and save it as a variable.

You can use math operation to add or subtract a small random number to their actual score and display this new score to respondent.
