Updating Matrix Question Scores Dynamically

Hi. First time posting on the board and I'm hoping someone can help me with some JS code (I have absolutely no experience here). I would like to calculate two different scores based on respondents' answers to a ~50 question matrix table, and to dynamically update a tally of those scores on that same page. In other words, I would like the displayed scores to update even without submitting the current page.
As for the details of the question, it's selecting which candidate (in this case, Biden or Trump) will win each state in the Electoral College. So the score for each response represents the number of that state's Electoral Votes (Alabama is worth 9 "points", Alaska 3, and so on). I have Qualtrics set up to calculate two scores already (DemEV and RepEV), but am stuck beyond that.
