Welcome to the debut issue of the Qualtrics XM Community Newsletter! We’re excited to launch this publication dedicated to keeping our members updated on what’s new in the community. Looking to improve your surveys with some community-reviewed solutions? We’ve compiled some of this quarter’s hottest discussions below.
- CX Best Practices | Effective Customer Experience (CX) programs require elegant solutions. Check out @Kate's suggestions about best practices for combining customer satisfaction surveys and product reviews in a single comprehensive survey.
- Keyboard Input Functionality | Have you ever wanted your respondents to be able to take your survey using just their keyboard (for example, pressing Y for “Yes” or “N” for “No”)? This functionality is possible using custom code developed by @TomG.
- Hover-Over Tooltips | Sometimes, you may want to give your respondents additional information about an answer choice. Luckily, @Rich_Boits_Walker has you covered with hover-over tooltips.

- New “Product Features” Category

- New Inductees to the Hall of Fame

- Gender Pronouns on Profiles
- We’ve added a new profile field for indicating your gender pronouns! We’re excited to bring this change and foster a more inclusive community. To add your gender pronouns to your community profile, click the gear icon in the top right hand corner, and select Edit Profile. EDIT MY PROFILE >>

- Thomas Gibbons (@TomG) - At this point, TomG is nothing shy of a community celebrity. He’s been an ongoing top contributor in the developer corner, and is our all-time leaderboard champ! He’s been a member since January 2018, and in this time he’s become a true community Wizard.
- Clair Johnson (@ClairJ) - Inching her way closer and closer to the Sage rank is Clair Johnson from the Wharton School of Business. Clair’s comments and posts have already received over 65 upvotes from other community members, so we know for a fact that she’s a talented Qualtrician. Clair’s knowledge has been invaluable in teaching other members to use Qualtrics for effective survey research.
- Matt Broffman (@MattBroffman_Orlando) - Matt has been on fire over the past quarter! Since the new year, Matt has quickly become a Guru with over 100 comments in the community, and has provided the 3rd highest number of answers.
Trending Product Ideas
Did you know that you can have a direct impact on the development of future Qualtrics features by submitting your ideas directly in the Product Ideas category? Take a look at our guidelines to learn how to get started, upvote / downvote, and comment on existing ideas to show your support and add your voice to the discussion.
Current ideas with the most traction:
- Create a “Manage Teams” permission for ticketing so non-Brand Admin users can manage ticketing teams.
- Create a new API request to retrieve a list of divisions in a brand.
- Create a toggle for changing the color palette on widgets to an accessible color scheme for users who are red/green colorblind.
- No surveys for penguins! Reduce the size of Antarctica on the Map View widget.
Popular ideas that have recently been implemented into the Qualtrics platform or will be soon:
- Schedule automated data exports of raw survey data.
- Create a survey option to prevent email scanning software from opening survey links.
- Add the option to export EX dashboards to Powerpoint.
