I am reaching out to find out if there are any clever ways that one can cause a survey to "auto-save" or even manually save WITHOUT changing the page. Often times our end users will be writing long answers (especially to the certain text essay questions) and I was wondering if any JS or clever question combinations could help with this problem. I have found that if I refresh the page it sends off a .saveProgress method via network traffic, however, I also noticed that it doesn't record in data and analysis at that point, but the saves are persistent. Please note we are not using anonymous links, so this only pertains to the types of surveys distributed through the email distribution tab in a survey.
