Product Ideas Policy & Procedures

The Product Ideas category is a place for you to share your feature requests, otherwise known as ideas, with the team at Qualtrics. If you have a suggestion or idea on how to improve the Qualtrics product, post it in this category for all to see. You have the power to upvote or downvote others’ ideas, and to tell us what you think!

How it Works
In an effort to collaborate with you and give you greater transparency into the product feedback lifecycle, you can now post your ideas in the Product Ideas category here on community. Before posting a new idea, use the search bar to see if your idea has already been posted by another community member. If it has, you'll want to simply upvote the idea and post a comment that includes your specific use case. If you do not see your idea already on the ideation board, feel free to post it. Once your idea is posted, a Community Moderator will review it to make sure it follows our Product Idea Submission Guidelines and Evaluation Criteria. It is then up to you and the rest of the community to upvote and leave comments on the idea, in an effort to further explain your needs or desires for the idea.

If you don’t have any ideas right now, don’t worry - you can still vote on product ideas. You as a community member have the power to help decide which ideas are the best, and which are less urgent, by upvoting and downvoting posts. Although we will be prioritizing ideas with the most upvotes, it is extremely important to add in additional context for your specific use case wherever you see an idea you agree with or don’t agree with, so we can take that into account when reviewing ideas. The more detailed you are with the functionality you would like to see, the more likely our team will be able to develop a feature that best suits your needs.

How is an idea evaluated and set to the “In Review” status?
To give you visibility into how we make decisions around here, we’re giving you the Product Idea Submission Guidelines & Evaluation Criteria our Community Moderators use. We’d definitely say that voting helps us prioritize which ideas are the most desired by our clients, so it’s important for you and community members to upvote any ideas you’d like to see implemented. Although ideas that have the highest upvotes will be set to the In Review status, we will also be reading comments to better understand the context and use cases for the ideas.

Check out our Product Ideas FAQs for additional details about the new Product Ideas category.

Is it normal that I still need to upvote my own ideas? They start with 0 votes.

@JoycaV - by default, all ideas will start with 0 votes, so you will want to upvote your own idea to get the ball rolling!
