Allow user to add text entry field to rank order question

I want to ask the question "what did you find most important in the event" and have respondents rank 5 different answers by drag and drop. However, I also want to give them the possibility to add another important aspect that I did not think of. This should be optional.

@mjay - were you able to solve this? I am trying to create an "Other" category that allows a user to add text as to what "Other" means to them.

I'm not getting quite the same view as you, @lgee; the options I have in the dropdown are:

Rich Content Editor
Insert Graphic...
Exclude From Analysis
Insert Piped Text
Add Display Logic...
Move Up
Move Down
Remove Scale Point
R
Badge

@jbetzmoretti - this is three (3) years after you posted your comment above, but I’ve been looking for the same thing (to allow text entry to the “other” option for a rank order question.

I like the drag and drop - but the option is not there when I right click on the “other” option.

So, change it to “radio button” -- right click on the other...select “Allow text entry”

Then switch it back to “drag and drop” and the text box is still there ; -)
