Hi, I am trying to a. assign a code to survey participants where each code represents a count of the number of submissions to the survey. So, participant #1 gets code '1', and participants #2 gets code '2', and so on..., and b. save different sections of the same survey in different data file. For example, I want to keep participants' email address separate from their actual responses to the survey. So, I can separate identifiable information (e.g., email addresses) from survey responses.

How can I achieve the above two tasks? I know how to generate random numbers and assign them to participants in qualtrics, but I am not sure if I can give a count of number of submissions to each participant so that every participant gets a unique number. Thanks for your assistance and time in advance!

Best,
Roy

@Roy You can use quotas: https://www.qualtrics.com/support/survey-platform/survey-module/survey-tools/quotas/#UsingQuotasInOtherPartsOfQualtrics
