Hello,

How do you chart correctly a question that asks respondents to rank up to 3 responses in order, with 1 being the preferred option. The survey includes multiple questions of this type with 6+ answer options from which respondents need to choose and rank up to 3.

I have noticed that the stacked bar charts do not calculate %s correctly. The %s are calculated based on total number of people that have selected that answer option as 1st, 2nd or 3rd instead of calculating %s out of all people that have answered the question. So the base sizes vary by answer option. If I have a total number of respondents

Thanks a lot,

Hi Diana_A, if you haven't yet already, try checking out creating a measure group for the rank order question and using this to report on the different statement choices from the question.
Then, we can treat the rank order question like a matrix in the dashboard and display relative ranking percentages using Top Box/Bottom Box metrics. You can check out this Support Page for additional context!
