What is your ‘why’ and how does Qualtrics connect with your ‘why’?
The nature of this profession — Talent Acquisition, Recruiter — I feel that it really suits me. The job requires a lot of communication with people, constantly learning how to communicate, how to sell, how to negotiate, and how to talk with business and prove your arguments. This is generally an awesome environment for me, where technology meets business in this unique way. Before I started working at Qualtrics, I had worked in the Polish IT market for three years. I heard a lot from my candidates about Qualtrics, specifically that it is a top tech company in the Polish market. I started following the Qualtrics career page to catch the Talent Acquisition role openings and I realized that the chances to get this role at Qualtrics were small because of the high demand during the recruitment process. But no risk, no reward. I had a friend at Qualtrics and always told him if any role for a recruiter position opened up to let me know, and as soon as I received a notification about the opening I applied without letting my friend know. :) It was funny because I was so excited to have this opportunity to be a part of a company like Qualtrics — to work in product tech and to develop it.
What does your day look like?
Every day could be different and I like that. Sometimes I do ad hoc tasks. Most of the time I talk with candidates, search for them, and try to make their recruitment process as smooth as possible. I keep them on track all the time, and I put myself in their shoes: how would I want to be treated by a company and informed about my recruitment process? This is a priority for me.
What is your favorite part of your role?
Communication with people — engineers, managers, and candidates — all of these talented people.
If you are not originally from Krakow, can you tell us your story of moving there?
I'm Ukrainian and have been living in Krakow for 7.5 years already. My husband and I moved to Poland to try something new, and we started a new life here :) but home (my hometown in Lviv, in Western Ukraine) will always remain the best place in the world for me.
Any tips for someone who is looking to get into a career like yours?
Just be curious, investigate, and don't be afraid of challenges. No, it will not always be easy, but it will be rewarding for your development. Not only in your career — it will reflect in your personal life, family, and your environment too. Also be patient.
What has surprised you most about working at Qualtrics?
Qualtrics is an extremely fast company — the tempo is really quick and never stays in the same place for too long.
What are your aspirations in career/life?
Be happy and carpe diem :)
