About the Look & Feel Menu
The way your survey looks can determine how well it performs. The good news is that Qualtrics gives you the ability to customize the appearance of your survey in many different ways. Whether you use a custom-built theme built by our design experts, or you choose to individually customize specific survey elements yourself, Qualtrics gives you the ability to build visually appealing surveys like no other platform. To access these customization options, go to the Look & Feel menu in the Survey tab.
The available Look & Feel options in an EmployeeXM survey are the same as the ones in the Survey Platform. For an overview on Look & Feel options, visit the Survey Platform’s Look & Feel Overview support page.
Applying Survey Themes
Creating a beautiful survey is easy with Qualtrics Survey Themes. Each theme contains default colors, fonts, and styling for your survey. In the Look & Feel menu, you’ll find the Survey Theme Library, which contains all your available survey themes. In addition, your license may include custom survey themes, designed to match your organization’s branding.
Applying survey themes works the exact same way in EmployeeXM surveys as it does in the Survey Platform. For more information, visit the Survey Platform’s Applying Survey Themes support page.
General Look & Feel Settings
In Look & Feel, you’ll find general options for changing the appearance of your survey. These options include changing the text of the Next and Back buttons, adding a progress bar, selecting a page transition animation, changing the number of questions displayed per page, highlighting questions, and adding a visual separator between questions.
The general Look & Feel settings work the exact same way in EmployeeXM surveys as they do in the Survey Platform. For more information, visit the Survey Platform’s General Look & Feel Settings support page.
Fonts and Colors
In the Look & Feel menu of the Survey tab, you can customize the fonts and colors of your entire survey to create a more engaging and professional experience for respondents. (If you want to change the format of text within a specific question or message, use the Rich Content Editor instead.)
Font and color settings work the exact same way in EmployeeXM surveys as they do in the Survey Platform. For more information, visit the Survey Platform’s Fonts and Colors support page.
Advanced Look & Feel Settings
If you want to get into the nitty-gritty details of your survey’s appearance, head into the Advanced tab of the Look & Feel menu. From there, you can add a header and footer that will appear on each page of your survey, or you can personalize your survey theme even further with custom CSS.
