Step 2: Design Your Subject Report

Now that you’ve built your form, it’s time to design and build your subject report. Our dynamic reporting solution allows you to measure, compare, calibrate and analyze data in real time, and present the data in an easy way for your colleagues to interpret. Below you’ll find a lot of materials designed to help ensure your subject reports appear exactly the way you want them to.

Use a Qualtrics Template

No idea where to start? While it’s easy to build your own report we do have 2 templates you could use: our Basic Report and our Tread Report. Click on the tutorial link for either report in order to download a file that can then be uploaded into your account, as well watch several videos showing you how to edit your template report.

Build Your Own Report

There are several components involved in building out your report.

  • You will need to decide whose results you want displayed in the report (self, others, managers, etc) by correctly setting your data sources.
  • You will then need to decide how you have that data displayed, through tables and graphs. Those are the main components of your report.
  • Afterwards, you can spend time customizing the style of your report so it looks clean and reflects your organizations design.
  • Finally, make sure you take the time to learn about more advanced features you can use in your report, such as display logic and piped text.

Data Sources

Data sources allow you to specify which relationship(s) you would like to have displayed in a table or graph. In most cases, you will want to show a comparison between how the subject evaluated themselves and how their peers evaluated him/her. This can be done by creating data sources. Customizing Your Report Style

The Qualtrics 360 tool specializes in making sure you have all of the capabilities available to make sure your report is polished and professional. You can add a cover page with your organization’s logo, create background templates, add and remove pages, and so much more.

In the video below, you can learn how to customize the colors, fonts, and text sizes in your report.

To further customize your report, you can add images from your organization to the cover page as well as in the top corner of every page. Watch the video below to learn how to add images to your report.

The last finishing touch for customizing the style of your report is to edit text boxes and shapes within your report. You can watch the video below to learn how to use both of those options.

Advanced Features

Qualtrics offers many options to customize the information in your subject report, such as only displaying certain visualizations to certain people or only showing information if it meets certain criteria. Now your subject report can change from being flat to dynamic. The following videos below will help you learn how to make your report customizable to those who view it.
