About Hiding Attributes and Models in Studio

In Studio, you can manage attribute and model availability by hiding them for yourself, groups of users, or all users in your account.

Protecting Sensitive Data

You can hide selected attributes and classification models from all users of your account.

Hiding an attribute or model restricts the visibility of the attribute or model itself in various displays. It does not control which documents a particular user can or cannot see.

These actions affect all users:

Hiding Attributes and Models From a Group of Users

You can hide selected attributes and classification models from all users of a certain group. This hides objects from widget, metric, and filter properties, drilling, and document explorer. For more information, see Hiding Attributes and Category Models via Group Access.

Decluttering Your Workspace

To declutter your workspace, you can hide dashboards and books, filters, metrics, attributes and models.

These actions affect object availability only for yourself:

  • Hiding Dashboards and Books: Prevent selected dashboards and books from appearing in your dashboard explorer.
  • Hiding Filters: Prevent selected filters from appearing in filter management, widget properties, dashboard filters, and filtered metric configuration.
  • Hiding Metrics: Prevent selected metrics from appearing in metrics management, widget properties, and custom math metric configuration.
  • Hiding Attributes: Prevent selected attributes from appearing in widget properties, dashboard filters, metrics, filters, drilling options, document explorer, and project attributes overview.
  • Hiding Models: Prevent selected models from appearing in widget properties, dashboard filters, metrics, filters, drilling options, document explorer, and project models overview.
