Trial Accounts

What are the limits placed on a trial account?
Trial accounts have the following limitations:

Why are the changes I made in the Rich Content Editor not showing up?
The Rich Content Editor makes changes to question text by marking up the text with custom code (HTML). As a trial account, custom code is not enabled in preview and active versions of the survey. To use the Rich Content Editor to its fullest extent, your account will need to be upgraded (see below “How do I upgrade my trial account?”).
Why is my HTML, CSS, and JavaScript not working?
As a trial account, custom code is not enabled and so you won’t see it in preview and active versions of the survey. To use custom code, your account will need to be upgraded (see below “How do I upgrade my trial account?”).
I accidentally made a trial account instead of signing up with my university or correct affiliation. What should I do?
Contact Qualtrics Support using the Contact Us link at the top right of this page. Support can do one of two things:

  1. Delete your trial account, which will allow you to make an account through your university’s Qualtrics page.
  2. Provide you with instructions on how to move your trial account into your organization’s license (and thus change it to a standard user account).
How do I upgrade my trial account?
If you are not already in contact with an account representative, go to http://www.qualtrics.com/research-suite/ and select “Request Demo”. After filling out the subsequent information, you will be contacted about your upgrade request.
When does my trial account expire?
Unless otherwise specified by your account representative (if you have one), trial accounts do not have expiration dates. You’re free to use your account for as long as you would like.
What happens if I collect more responses than my account allows?
Qualtrics still collects responses and stores the data, but you will not have access to those excess responses until your account is upgraded.
How do I remove the footer at the bottom of my surveys that says “Start Your Free Trial Account Today”?
This footer cannot be removed unless your account is upgraded.
