Matrix and Display Logic

I have two back to back matrix questions. The first matrix asks respondents to answer if they have bought or are interested in our products. Now, for the second matrix, I'm struggling with how to figure out to only show the selected answer choices in which they have already bought the product(s). I tried using display logic if "bought" is selected and then carrying forward the selected answer choices which didn't work. I would greatly appreciate if someone could please explain how to only display certain answer choices in a subsequent matrix. Thank you!

chloerickson If you lay out your first matrix so that the rows are products and the columns contains your options including "bought"
Then on your second matrix,
1) Use the gear and select Carry Forward Statements...
2) In bar make sure the second drop down is the previous matrix question
3) in the first drop down menu choose "Selected Statements for Scale Point: Bought"
