“One of my favorite engineering projects has been building a new mechanism for network DNS routing that enables caching. This project exposed me to many different concepts such as caching, API requests, networking flow, and more. It showed me the importance of exercising due-diligence with code, rollout plans, testing, and monitoring metrics for expected behavior and it gave me the opportunity to work with multiple teams.
This project helped me think beyond just writing code. It helped me learn the importance of being detail oriented, reminded me that there is always more to learn and improve, and to feel comfortable not knowing the answer along with knowing how to gather resources to help me solve the problem.”
