Our Favorite Research Suite Features: Embedding a YouTube Video
Have you ever had one of those moments where you think to yourself, “How did I not know this before?” In one of our recent webinars, we uncover some of our favorite features of Research Suite to help you make a bigger impact in your research.
Today we’re highlighting one of our favorite tips from the webinar — embedding a video into your survey. This feature is helpful for many cases, including embedding demos of your product, ad campaigns and psychological studies that incorporate videos. You don’t need a QuickTime extension or a plugin; Research Suite allows you to pull a video from YouTube and set it to play automatically in just a few easy steps:
Open the video in YouTube. Underneath the video frame, you’ll see a “share” button. When you click on it, a few sharing options will appear.
Click the “embed” option to generate an HTML iframe code that will allow you to embed the video into your survey. Copy the code.
In your survey editor, select the question you would like to add the video to. Click “HTML View” and paste in the iframe code you copied from YouTube.
To make your video autoplay, add “?autoplay=1” to the end of the video URL in the iframe code, as shown below:
Preview your survey to be sure your video is displaying properly.
