Add response to image and redirect to thank you page

I'm really new to Qualtrics and need a step-by-step guidance on how to do this.
We would like to get customers feedback on helpfulness of our email content.

  1. Customers receive email from our CRM automation tool

  2. At the bottom of the email we have 3 images - happy, neutral and sad

  3. When customers click on either on of the images, Qualtrics captures the response and email address

  4. Customer is redirected to a thank you page built on Qualtrics

How do I embed a link to the image that automatically captures the response (without making customers see the question again) and then redirect them to a thank you page.

One way to go about this might be using an inline question, and distributing the survey from Qualtrics! You can also visit our Email Survey Invitations support page for more information on what the inline question is and how to distribute emails! To set up your own custom thank you page on Qualtrics, you can create a custom end of survey message. Our support page on Query Strings may also be a good resource to get customer information into Qualtrics.
