Tim Peake : How to thrive in isolation
You’ve spent the last few months working on your own, in a small space, isolated from loved ones, and connected to the world via video. Congratulations, your experience is pretty similar to an astronaut (minus the rocketships and spacesuits). In this keynote with Tim Peake - one of the world’s best-known astronauts - discover how you thrive during short, intense periods of isolation. And how you handle anxieties around returning to a new but familiar normal. Like any mission, there might be false steps and mistakes along the way - here’s how you prepare yourself for them like an astronaut. Space walks, science lessons and even running a marathon in orbit - Tim Peake’s mission to the International Space Station captivated millions of people. During the Q&A section, you’ll get a unique insight into the life of an astronaut. As well as our main event, Tim will take part in an after-school special just for kids. Join along with your children as Tim takes questions from the audience and inspires the next generation of scientists and astronauts.
Tim Peake is a British astronaut and was the first Briton to join the European Space Agency. He was on board the International Space Station in 2015-16, and gained massive popularity with his messages back to earth.
