Clarabridge Modern Slavery Act

Introduction
Clarabridge Inc is opposed to all forms of human trafficking, slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labour.

This statement is made pursuant to section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets out the steps that Clarabridge Inc (“Clarabridge”) has taken during its financial year ended December 31, 2019 to address concerns of slavery and human trafficking in its supply chains and in any part of its own business.

Overview
The Modern Slavery Act 2015 requires commercial organisations supplying goods or services with a turnover of more than £36 million to prepare and publish an annual ‘Slavery and human trafficking statement’. The statement must set out the steps an organisation has taken, if any, during its financial year to ensure that slavery or human trafficking is not taking place in its supply chain.

What is Modern Slavery?
Modern slavery is a crime, and it is estimated that nearly 30 million people are presently enslaved (i.e., illegally forced to work against their will) in one form or another around the world. Tragically, rather than shrinking, this is a growing international (and domestic) problem that affects people of all ages, genders and ethnicities across many different sectors including agriculture, construction, hospitality, retail, manufacturing, and others.

Our policy
We are committed to creating a workplace that respects each employee’s and contractor’s human rights and have a zero-tolerance policy to slavery and human trafficking.

As a software company, we consider ourselves to be low risk from a modern slavery and human trafficking perspective. However, if we find breaches of these laws within our supply chain, we will look to help these suppliers in their own efforts to comply with the legislation.

We treat everyone, including our customers, employees, contractors and suppliers, fairly and consistently with respect and dignity. We strive to create a workplace and business environment that is open, transparent and honest. Our policies and procedures relating to the Modern Slavery Act are in line with our culture and values.

Organisational Structure and Business
Clarabridge is a software company. Our solutions are purpose-built for customer experience and backed by an AI powered best-in-class text analytics engine, to transcend from complexity to clarity and truly understand every customer interaction.
We were founded in Virginia in 2006 and now have offices in the US, Belgium, Spain and the United Kingdom.

Our Supply Chain
Our business largely uses professionally qualified people employed directly by Clarabridge or contracted to work exclusively for Clarabridge in a limited number of countries. Our policies are designed to ensure fair treatment of our people around the world.
Our suppliers are mostly in very low risk sectors and the people that support us in the supply chain are required to have significant education and experience (such as software engineers and other professional service providers), which greatly reduces the risk of their enslavement.

Supply Chain Management
We are taking steps to ensure a workplace that respects each employee’s and contractor’s human rights with a zero-tolerance policy to slavery and human trafficking.
We are currently assessing all elements of our supply chain in order to determine what and where our most significant risk areas may be so that we can establish appropriate mitigation strategies.
We are doing this by conducting high level reviews of our principal vendors to risk assess the likelihood of modern slavery or human trafficking in their supply chains.
In the coming year we plan to commence providing periodic training on the subject of modern slavery and our policies to address the risks to help increase education and awareness.

This statement has been reviewed by Clarabridge’s Board of Directors and was approved on December 11, 2019.
