Adam, EMEA Office Manager, Growing through challenge

I've always enjoyed asking questions, learning new things, and figuring out solutions! I have always looked for new challenges (from being a chef, to transcribing books into braille, to running a record label) and this is what drew me to Qualtrics. I think there are so many things to learn in Qualtrics about how to do things better, close gaps, and achieve a better outcome in whatever field you are in!

What attracted you to Qualtrics in the first place?

The intelligence behind the product along with the company values.

You've been at Qualtrics for a while now, so, why is it still Qualtrics for you? How has Qualtrics lived up to your expectations? How has it been different?

I enjoy the constant challenges that you face while working for a company that is growing at such a fast pace. It really keeps you on your toes! The experience of working at Qualtrics definitely opened up a lot of options for me that I didn't know I had and that's why I want to keep developing here!

What was the turning point where you knew you 'had to have the job' at Qualtrics?

After coming into the office for an interview and seeing the buzz of the busy office, the noise, and the positivity and drive of the people in the office. I decided then: I want this job.

What does your day look like?

A day in the life of an Office Coordinator working from home is quite different than when you're in the office. Currently, the expansion of our Dublin office and planning how offices gradually reopen in EMEA are my main priorities. It involves keeping stakeholders informed, planning, communicating to staff, and figuring out solutions as challenges come up!

What is your favorite part of your role?

I like being thrown in the deep end on things where I need to do something that I've never done before. That's what makes life at Qualtrics so enjoyable and challenging.

Any tips for someone who is considering a role at Qualtrics? Or advice for someone looking to get into a career like yours? Tips for someone in general?

I think the best tip that I was told to me by a former manager is just to do what you say you are going to do. It's something I really stick to now and it's a great philosophy for getting things done and achieving what you set out to do!

What has surprised you most about working at Qualtrics?

Definitely hearing what other teams are working on and how it all fits into the company's goals overall!

What are your aspirations in career/life?

I always want to learn and put myself outside my comfort zone - as long as I'm challenging myself in my career, I'm happy!

How have you become involved in community at Qualtrics? What has that meant to you?

Getting involved with Wellness@Q has been a huge part of my Qualtrics journey. I invite everyone to join and also if you have an idea for a group - do it!

What 3 words would you use to describe Qualtrics to someone?
