Building a sales team: Taylor talks recruitment for Qualtrics

I am a Senior Sales Recruiter at Qualtrics. In my job, I have the opportunity to connect with people from all over the world, both internally and externally. I love learning about each person's journey and helping them to find the best fit for their next opportunity at Qualtrics! In doing so, I get to build strong relationships/friendships with people all over the world. Always open to connecting!

You moved to Dallas, right? What was that like?

I am originally from Santa Claus, IN. After graduating from IU, I took a major leap of faith and moved out to Salt Lake City, Utah (a city I had never been to!) to begin my career at Qualtrics. I spent 1.5 years at headquarters, the heart of the organization. Learned a lot personally (like to ski) and professionally. I transferred internally from an SDR to a Recruiting Specialist.

At this point, I was really missing the midwest and wanted to be closer to my family. My Manager (shoutout Meg Tidwell) helped arrange a location transfer to Dallas, TX, which was historically just a sales office. I've been in Dallas now for coming up on 3 years and LOVE IT. I think it's super important that your company cares about you both inside and outside of work. For me, the move to Dallas allowed me to fulfill personal and professional aspirations as I continued to grow into larger Recruiting roles. I am thankful that Qualtrics cared so much about me as a holistic person and that we could make this happen.

Any tips for someone who is considering a role at Qualtrics? Or advice for someone looking to get into a career like yours? Tips for someone in general?

The top 3 things I think that make great candidates:

  1. Strong trajectory in current/previous opportunities. We want to hire top performers who want to win and have a track record of doing so.
  2. Life-Long Learners - There are so many intricacies to the Qualtrics platform. Individuals who are coachable and want to learn/get better typically have the most success!
  3. High Energy - We want people on the team who are excited to be here and to contribute! How do you inspire optimism during the mundane of the day-to-day?

If you've been at Qualtrics for a while, why is it still Qualtrics for you? How has Qualtrics lived up to your expectations? How has it been different?

I joined the Qualtrics family 4.5 years ago. I was easily sold on the vision - a hyper-growth company, at the series B round of funding, with a lot of opportunity for personal development. That vision was delivered on 10x. We are not the same company that we were in 2016. As a result, we have grown exponentially, made mistakes, learned, iterated, and gotten better every single day, together. This is also true of my experience as an employee, and for that, I could not be more grateful for my time here. This is why for me - it's still Qualtrics.

What 3 words would you use to describe Qualtrics to someone?
