What is your 'why' and how does Qualtrics connect with your 'why'? 

目標が達成するまでEnd to Endでクライアントに寄り添うお仕事がしたい!というのが、クアルトリクスのTAM(テクニカルアカウントマネジャー)を志望した理由です。

私は海外の大学院を卒業し、某コンサル会社で主にITの導入プロジェクトなどに従事するコンサルタントとして働いていました。その頃から、『お客様の本来の目的が達成されるまでお客様と伴走して成功に導くようなお仕事がしたい』と思うようになりました。ちょうどその頃、クアルトリクスとTAMポストについて知ることができたので、本当に幸運だったなと思います。

I am keen to work as a person who works closely with clients and who is always there with them from end to end in their path of achieving their business goals. That is why I decided to join TAM in Qualtrics.

After graduating with a MA degree in Korea, I worked as a consultant and was involved in delivering IT systems in a consulting company. Since then, I often thought “It would be very exciting if I could work with clients until they achieve their business goal!” Luckily, the timing was so good that I was introduced to Qualtrics and the TAM position then.

What attracted you to Qualtrics in the first place?  

企業文化(TACOS)がはっきりしていて、製品が素晴らしいと思いました。XM (エクスペリエンスマネジメント)を改善するという企業ミッションがとてもクリアで、共感ができました。

Qualtrics’ culture (TACOS) was very clear to understand. Also, I was so impressed by the products themselves. I resonated with its mission to improve XM for clients.

What was the turning point where you knew you 'had to have the job' at Qualtrics? 

面接でお話しした皆さんが非常に優秀で気さくな方々でした。早く働きたいと思いました。

Everyone I met during my interview process was very open-minded, generous, and brilliant! I couldn’t wait to join Qualtrics as soon as possible.

What does your day look like?

大きく分けて2つあり、クライアントワークと、その他の活動になります。

クライアントワークでは、お客様のプロジェクト成功に向け、アンケートの要件定義やスケジュール策定をし、設定方針の決定のための事前検証作業などを行い、クライアントミーティングに臨みます。日本だけでなく海外との会議も多々あります。アンケートが無事配信されれば、ダッシュボードの分析提案をしたり、新機能の導入を行ったりします。

コアのクライアント対峙の仕事の他に、日本チームやアジア・パシフィックリージョンに貢献できるような取り組みにも時間を割くことが許されており、シドニーやEMEAのTAMと共に様々な活動を行っています。

My daily work is divided into two kinds; Client work and other activities.

In client work, we support clients’ team to achieve their program success. Prior to client meetings, I prepare requirements of upcoming surveys, plan task timeline, conduct testings, and so on. Meetings are not only in Japan but sometimes include clients’ subsidiaries overseas. When surveys are successfully launched, I propose effective ways to analyze survey results in the dashboard and advise clients to adopt new features.

In addition to my core client-facing work, TAMs are allowed to spend time on internal initiatives that contribute to the Japan team and Asia Pacific region, and I often work with TAMs in Sydney and EMEA on various activities.

What is your favorite part of your role?

TAMのクライアントも大企業様が多く、TAMがクライアントのXMを改善することで感じられるインパクトは甚大です。営業やCSMと協力しながら、自身の強みを生かしつつ大きな裁量を任せられているやりがいのあるお仕事です。

Our clients are some of the major enterprise companies in Japan, which means the impact that TAM can make on improving clients’ XM is significant. Also, TAM is given discretionary that every TAM is entrusted to serve clients in their best ways, cooperating with Sales and CSM team members.

Any tips for someone who is considering a role at Qualtrics?

TAMは非常に国際的でエネルギッシュで協力体制の良いチームです。毎日楽しく働きたい、海外 案件に従事したい、人事やマーケティングの知見を活かしたい方などに自信を持っておすすめできる会社です。 

Our team is very international, energetic, and collaborative. If you are willing to work everyday in excitement, to work in an international environment leveraging your language skills, or to make the most of your HR/ Marketing/ XM knowledge and experience, I guarantee that TAM is the best place!

What has surprised you most about working at Qualtrics?

面接の段階では、これほど毎日のお仕事がグローバルで英語が飛び交うものと思っていませんでした。また、会社の風通しの良さや、社員同士の仲の良さにも驚いています。ハロウィーンや各種スポーツイベントなど、会社全体のものだけでなく、TAMが所属しているGlobal Operationsチームでも週末にスキーや登山に行ったりしています。

I never imagined that I would use English in work as much as I do now, like everyday! Also, I was so surprised how the Japan team is like a family. There are not only company-wide gatherings and sports events but also team-level outings such as skiing and hiking.

What are your aspirations in career/life?

いつかEXのスペシャリストになって日本やアジア・世界のクライアントの従業員の皆様がいきいきと働くことに一助できる人材になりたいです!

I hope I can be an EX specialist someday so that all employees in client companies can enjoy their work everyday.

What is your top #LifeHack?

在宅の時は川沿いをジョギングしたり、オフィスではたまに有志のみんなで皇居ランをしたりします!頭が冴えて集中力が高まる気がします。

When I work remotely, I sometimes go jogging along the river. In the office, sometimes I go running around the Imperial Palace park near the office. The fresh air boosts my concentration!

What’s a favorite memory of your time at Qualtrics so far?

人生初めての東京ディズニーランドにチームみんなでいった思い出です!そして、お客様に褒められたり感謝されることは言葉にはできない嬉しさがあります!

The first Tokyo Disneyland in my life with team members was epic! Also, when I receive words of gratitude and compliment, no words can describe the joy! 

What 3 words would you use to describe Qualtrics to someone?

グローバル、ワンチーム、エネルギッシュ!

Global, One-team, Energetic!

How do you  feel you’ve been able to apply what you studied at school to your career?

大学院で国際学び、世界中から学生が集まっていたことから、多くの国の歴史や文化を知っていたことはTAMとして社内外の色々な国の方とお仕事をするのに役立っています。

Since I learned International Studies with students from all over the world, knowing the history and culture of many countries really helps me work with people with diverse backgrounds outside and inside Qualtrics.
