Luisa, Enterprise Sales Rep, on the Purpose and Culture of Qualtrics

I make it my purpose to show people that they can reach their goals if they live without so many restrictions. Restrictions are just thoughts.  I would love to teach all I have learnt to small communities in my country to help them take advantage of the all beautiful things they can show to the world, and how they are all unique. Qualtrics is the materialization that dreams are possible, that you can build a company with heart and purpose, where employees are part of the culture.

What attracted you to Qualtrics in the first place?

I was so attracted to the fact that Qualtrics has created a new category, XM, that can change the world.  This technology helps companies to really think and act around their customers.

What was the turning point where you knew you "had to have the job" at Qualtrics?

When SAP bought Qualtrics I started searching online about the company and its leaders. I found out about a place and a product that I identify with in so many ways. Purpose, culture, people, and leadership.

What does your day look like?

My days are full of energy with a mix of planning, strategy, execution, and a lot of listening to my customers' needs.

What is your favorite part of your role?

The favorite part of my role is helping my customers build the vision of XM in their companies.  This includes helping them be successful and contribute to their company's success.  Using our platform I encourage them to “walk the talk” not only saying they are customer-centric businesses but really helping them understand their customers' needs and desires and execute in a smart way.

I am able to generate, in cooperation with my stakeholders, a real change in the culture and the strategy of these companies. It is not just talking about experience, it is how I can create experiences for my customers and potential customers that they then can feel inspired about.

Any tips for someone who is considering a role at Qualtrics? Or advice for someone looking to get into a career like yours? Tips for someone in general?

Be yourself; you do not have to pretend to be someone else. Qualtrics is a safe space that highly values diversity. If you have worked on building the very best version of yourself you are more than ready to be part of Qualtrics to continue growing and developing.

It is also important to me to learn about other cultures, different ways to live, and see the world. I am pretty convinced that limits are only in your mind and you are capable of whatever you dream about with discipline and hard work. Being a woman in technology has not always been easy but I am proud to see so many IT companies led by powerful women. I would like to encourage young people to dream big, travel a lot, and destroy all barriers that prevent them from reaching their dreams.

What has surprised you most about working at Qualtrics?

The transparency, as employees or individual contributors you always have the feeling that you really know what is happening with the company and what’s next.

What are your aspirations in career/life?

I want to learn a lot from this category and then help small community businesses grow. I want also to impact young entrepreneurs to develop from the very beginning the concept of XM in their companies.

What 3 words would you use to describe Qualtrics to someone?

Action, Innovation, Transparency.
