Experience, challenge, and connection – Arvin
I do what I do because I am driven to continuously gain new experiences and challenge myself, whether that is through my career or my personal life. The connections you make along the way is also a significant driver as it is an amazing feeling to make an impact on other people's lives, big or small. At Qualtrics there are many opportunities to develop meaningful connections with colleagues and customers through my work.
What attracted you to Qualtrics in the first place?
I was a user of Qualtrics® while I was still a student working on my final Marketing project. Also being an information technology major, Qualtrics looked like the perfect mix to develop and translate my university degree into the industry.
My experience with the product was also a significant factor as it really showed me the significant value that this tool brought to my university project and intrigued me to learn how this is being leveraged in many different industries.
What was the turning point when you knew you had to have the job at Qualtrics?
When applying for the role, I had several touch points with the recruiter and the team I would be joining. I made an effort to learn about their experience at Qualtrics and their favourite project they had worked on. Through these touch points I was drawn in by their personal goals but also the one team culture with the level of support that everyone has for each other.
What is your favorite part of your role?
My favourite part of the role are the connections I've made with different users around the world. While we connect with numerous users each day, the users who you connect with more frequently are a delight to work with. Being able to establish a level of familiarity with each other and sometimes having a friendly chat is fulfilling.
How do you feel you've been able to apply what you learned at school to your career?
I have been able to immediately apply my experience with the product while I studied at university, but also leverage my knowledge of key marketing research concepts with customers who are running their own research projects as well.
I have also been able to leverage my experience in project management to team projects I have taken on in addition to my core role in supporting our customers.
