Sara, CX XM Scientist: At the forefront of CX at Qualtrics

What attracted you to Qualtrics in the first place?

The product. I have used the product and experienced the power firsthand, as well as the incredible growth.

What was the turning point where you knew you 'had to have the job' at Qualtrics?

Honestly, how challenging the entire interview process was. I wanted to work with the best of the best and the rigor of the interview process proved to me that they were looking for top talent only. I wanted a new challenge and it was clear that this role at Q was it.

What does your day look like?

I regularly get to work with some pretty awesome clients to advance their CX programs. On a daily basis, I spend time creating content/recommendations for clients, hosting workshops, brainstorming with the geniuses on my team, and helping to advance Qualtrics CX Advisory Services. Being a relatively new team, there is so much opportunity to influence the work we do and how our team evolves.

What is your favorite part of your role?

Working with clients! I get energy from having discussions and talking through challenges that our customers face. I love learning about and from these clients while helping them creatively advance their CX programs. There is a huge variety in the work we do - from different industries we support to varying degrees of CX maturity. Every client is unique.

What has surprised you most about working at Qualtrics?

How true/real the values are. Most companies have values and they may talk about them on occasion but in my time at Q I have seen leaders and teammates LIVE the values on a daily basis. Transparency and One Team are so refreshing to see, especially in (what is now) a large company environment.

What is your top #LifeHack?

Get a standing desk! Some studies say standing to work makes you smarter.

How have you become involved in community at Qualtrics?

I have participated in Q groups and mentoring programs. Starting at a new company and being 100% remote can be very isolating at times. It was important to me to find those opportunities to connect with others at Qualtrics (outside my team) to understand the culture and Q community and build those more organic, water-cooler-like relationships that ARE SO IMPORTANT to my feelings of belonging.

What 3 words would you use to describe Qualtrics to someone?

Fast, innovative, smart (and young!).

Qualtrics is growing, and if you're ready to find your "why" at a place like this, you can explore our open opportunities at any time by visiting our career page or by joining our talent community.

Sara is an alumna of East Carolina University and NC State University and started her career at the Literacy Council of Wake County (non-profit). Fun fact? Her home office is a lovely, mid-size walk-in closet.
