Why Qualtrics

Kendra, Technical Program Manager, making real-world impact

I love a challenge and problem-solving, which is why I opted for a math major in college. I'm driven by a desire to grow in my career and personal life, which is why I transitioned from a Quality engineering background to a TPM position.

Qualtrics has helped me grow my career by providing opportunities to explore my interests, develop the skills to succeed and do fulfilling work that taps into my passions. Every day I work with a bunch of cool, talented people to solve problems that improve customer experience.

What attracted you to Qualtrics in the first place?

A recruiter notified me about the opening for the position at Qualtrics - the position was a great fit for my skill set and the opportunity to join a rapidly growing company appealed to me.

What was the turning point where you knew you 'had to have the job' at Qualtrics?

After finishing my interviews I found the Qualtrics Experience Management Launch video online from Summit 2017. Ryan's passion in his voice during his speech got me fired up and excited about the company. I was crossing my fingers that I'd passed the interviews!

What is your favorite part of your role?

One of my favorite aspects of my job is the opportunity for cross-team (and even cross-organization) collaboration. I get to work with engineers, as well as program managers, solution architects, and beyond to solve problems.

I love that the work I do is helping to improve engineering processes and the quality of the solutions delivered to customers.

What made you want to get into engineering?

I chose to become an engineer out of a desire to solve real-world problems - since technology and the world are constantly evolving, it never gets boring!

How have you become involved in community at Qualtrics? What has that meant to you?

The MosaiQ group has provided me with great support and the spirit of community as a woman of color working at Qualtrics.

What's a favorite moment/memory of your time at Qualtrics so far? Or an impactful moment?

Teams have quarterly morale events! My favorite one was a Puzzle Room + Scavenger Hunt done in Seattle's Fremont neighborhood.

What 3 words would you use to describe Qualtrics to someone?

Passionate, customer obsessed, and quality-driven.
