Why Qualtrics

‘Why Qualtrics’ Fabrizio Amadini – Finance – Dublin

My name is Fabrizio Amadini, I am Italian and I have worked for Qualtrics since July 2017.

Before joining the “Q”, I spent almost 4 years abroad to finish both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. Living abroad on my own put me in contact with several people coming from the most diverse backgrounds from whom I have learnt a lot, and having the possibility to see this trend continuing through Qualtrics is something that particularly excites me.

Another big motivation that gets me out of bed every morning is definitely my eagerness to leave a trace in this world by having contributed to make it a better one. Being part of the Qualtrics “family”, an organization which is committed to revolutionize the world we live in by increasing the quality of people’s experiences and which provides extensive financial support to several philanthropic activities, is therefore a perfect match for me.

Q: What attracted you to Qualtrics in the first place?

A: The first time I got exposed to the SaaS industry was during the 6-month internship I completed at Eze Software Group in Boston (MA) during the last 2 years of my Bachelor’s degree, and since then I have developed a strong interest in assessing the impact on society of digital transformations.

Moving from this, the main thing that attracted me to Qualtrics is definitely the futuristic product this organization has been able to develop: a software platform aimed at helping businesses manage their customer, employee, brand and product experiences is an incredible insight which could radically change our world in the coming years.

Q: What was the turning point where you “had to have the job”?

A: The turning point occurred when I first had the chance to visit the Qualtrics EMEA headquarters in Dublin for my final stage interview. The wonderful atmosphere in the office and the opportunity to work alongside other extremely talented colleagues convinced me that I had to work for Qualtrics.

Q: What is your favorite part of your role?

A: Being a Renewals Senior Specialist, I have the privilege to interact with essentially every other function within the organization and to provide them with financial support and insights. This particular feature of my role enables me to constantly learn new things and to develop a solid understanding of how our business model works.

Another great advantage of having this job is definitely the opportunity to see yourself progressing towards senior roles that are more focused on areas of Finance more in line with your studies and passions, such as Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) or Accounting.

Q: What made you want to get into Finance?

A: I have always loved Finance for its transparency and for the fact that Finance is the science that helps people managing risks as well as allocating scarce resources in the most productive and efficient way possible.

Q: What are your aspirations in career/life?

A: My career goal is to become a better Finance professional day after day and I work hard because I want to see my actions having an irreplaceable impact on the business of the organization I am currently part of.
