Why Qualtrics

Endless Possibilities as a Program Manager for Vinh in Sydney

Friends and family keep telling me that I'm very good at organising things. I've even been labelled as the best project manager in APAC by many ex-colleagues. I also love coaching and sharing knowledge and experiences with others. I feel like I can bring these skills to a fast-growing organisation like Qualtrics where there are constantly new hires who need to be mentored, and evolving processes or projects that need someone to execute.

What attracted you to Qualtrics in the first place?

My previous company used Qualtrics for many surveys, especially the annual employee engagement survey. I was with my previous company for 11+ years, so I could see how the Qualtrics platform was evolving over the years with the employee engagement survey and many other surveys. The features were becoming more user-friendly and intuitive. So, when I saw an opportunity pop up at Qualtrics, I told myself that I'd like to work for an innovative and emerging company like Qualtrics.

What was the turning point where you 'had to have the job'?

After the last round of interviews with our APJ MD Bill McMurray and when I had gotten to know that the Qualtrics APJ team is going to expand to Southeast Asia and beyond. I was so excited because I had spent more than a decade in my previous job managing all projects in the APAC region. Additionally, I believed my multi-language skills and multicultural experience would contribute to Qualtrics' APJ expansion strategy. I felt like this job opportunity was tailored to me!

What is your favorite part of your role?

Getting to manage some enterprise and complex projects, and working alongside so many wonderful teams and people is truly satisfying. I see myself as a conductor in the orchestra and I'm responsible to transmit a unified experience to our clients.

Any tips for someone who is considering a role at Qualtrics?

Be prepared to work hard and play hard. You will feel very rewarded towards the end of the day or quarter. You will also have a huge opportunity to learn, grow, and excel in your performance at Qualtrics if you're willing to get out of your comfort zone to take on some scrappy tasks. To me, 'Scrappy' is the most challenging component within the TACOS value that allows you to write your own story and to grow further in many aspects.

What surprised you most about working at Qualtrics?

Everyone has 150% of energy and 200% of commitment to complete the task assigned. When it comes to Quarterly Business Reviews or goal-setting sessions, everyone acts like an entrepreneur who will own the task and is willing to take the risk to ensure the deliverables are profitable and meeting the target.

Qualtrics is growing, and if you're ready to find your "why" at a place like this, you can explore our open opportunities at any time by visiting our career page. Looking to discover more reasons "Why Qualtrics"? You can find the whole series here.
