Why Qualtrics

Petros Talks Customer Success Careers in NYC

I am passionate about building and growing high performing teams, as well as helping businesses improve the experiences they offer to customers and employees. One of my goals is to one day lead a global organization, ideally coupled with giving back to my home country, Greece. Joining Qualtrics to build the New York office and the NY-based Customer Success team from the ground up aligns with my passions, because it offers me the opportunity to have an impact on both our clients and our employees in the US northeast region.

What attracted you to Qualtrics in the first place?

First, Qualtrics has the most flexible, scalable, and innovative software solution to help businesses, governments, and academic institutions to improve the experiences and products they offer to customers and employees. Covering all aspects of experience management (XM), i.e. customer (CX), employee (EX), brand (BX), and product (PX), is huge and the reason that Qualtrics is growing at 40%+ YoY. Who doesn't want to be part of such a growth story by helping to shape it?

Second, the opportunity to start the NYC office and build my Customer Success team from scratch is unprecedented. I've learned how to approach interviewing, hiring and onboarding talented individuals, work with the facilities team to choose desks for the office, think about interior design to promote our brand and culture, partner with everyone on our team to create a fun social environment, be on top of our business metrics, build relationships with our northeast clients, and so much more!

We understand you’re not originally from New York. Will you tell us your story about moving here?

I am originally from Greece but did my undergrad and graduate studies in the US on both coasts (Brown University in RI, Stanford University in CA). I then lived and worked in London for a few years before moving to New York. I love meeting people with diverse backgrounds and experiences because I learn from them and this has a profound impact on how I view and interact with the world in a more selfless way. I also love being active whether it's through playing a social team sport, like soccer, or indulging in a cultural experience, like watching a Broadway musical. New York City and its people offer all of the above, and they continuously surprise me with their energy, diversity, creativity, and innovation.

Any tips for someone who is considering a role at Qualtrics?

Shameless plug: come visit our NYC office on the 49th floor in Hudson Yards. The 360-degree views of Manhattan, New Jersey, the World Trade Center, the Statue of Liberty, and more, are exhilarating! You will want to be part of our team just to enjoy those views daily! As a tip, I recommend you are open-minded and bring your whole self to the interviews, and, of course, when you join the team. We want to know about you beyond your professional accomplishments, and we promise that you will get to experience our culture and values.

Qualtrics is growing, and if you're ready to find your "why" at a place like this, you can explore our open opportunities at any time by visiting our career page. Looking to discover more reasons "Why Qualtrics"? You can find the whole series here.
