Why Qualtrics – Noah Kirk – Sales Development Representative Intern – Provo, UT
At Qualtrics we want to connect our people to careers that feed their purpose; jobs that motivate & inspire them. This is Noah’s “Why Qualtrics” story.
I am constantly looking for opportunities to learn and challenge myself. Still, family is my biggest motivator. Qualtrics provided me with the opportunity to challenge myself by applying a new skillset. Throughout the internship, I have constantly been learning, and have found that many co-workers are willing to help me in my personal development.
What was the turning point where you ‘had to have the job’?
I felt that my hiring manager had a sincere interest in getting me on the team. He was persistent and transparent throughout the process and still checks in to be sure I’m having a good experience.
What surprised you most about working at Qualtrics?
I thought that being acquired by SAP might change the company culture and make it feel like a larger, more rigid company. I was surprised to find that Qualtrics has not deviated from their core values and feels like a startup (despite having nearly 3000 employees).
What made you want to get into Sales?
I have always been interested in understanding how consumers make decisions. This passion ultimately drew me to an undergraduate degree in marketing. Sales provided me the opportunity to keep the customer at the center of my universe and seek to understand them. Sales always stood out to me because it puts me in front of the customer and enables frequent interpersonal interaction.
